Guidelines on Preparing PPTs for Oral Paper Presentations

Last date for uploading PPTs – 07 December 2024

  1. The presenters should upload their PPT on the conference website. It is also advised to carry the PPT in a pen drive at the time of presentation. Presenters are also advised to check their PPTs with respective hall coordinators an hour in advance of their allotted time of presentation.
  2. Due to a large number of submissions (more than 200), the submitted abstracts after thorough evaluation have been divided into two categories: Free Paper and Award categories.
  3. Schedule of oral paper presentations will be made available on the Conference Website by 10th December 2024.
  4. General tentative timings for oral paper presentations:
    14th December 2024: 7:30 AM to 11 AM & 4 PM to 6:30 PM
    15th December 2024: 7:30 AM to 12 PM
  5. Maximum time allotted:
    Free paper presentations: 6 minutes for presentation and 2 minutes for discussion/queries.
    Award papers: 8 minutes for presentation and 2 minutes for discussion/queries.
  6. The PowerPoint presentation should reflect the contents of the abstract without deviating from it. Maximum of 12 slides is allowed in each presentation.
    a. Title slide should contain the title of the study, authors, presenter, and affiliation.
    b. Introduction slide – to highlight the need for the study including knowledge gaps and research question.
    c. Methods (2 slides) – should include:
    i. Type of study
    ii. Study population
    iii. Statement on ethical committee approval and consent of participants
    iv. Sample size
    v. Sampling technique
    vi. Study variables
    vii. Method of data collection
    viii. Statistical analysis plan
    d. Results (2-4 slides): Should include relevant demographic data, descriptive and inferential statistics, and two-three representative cases.
    e. Discussion (2-3 slides): Compare results with relevant other published data.
    f. Conclusion (1 slide): Highlight the impact of the study, future directions, and applicability of the study inferences in the current healthcare scenario.
    g. References (1 slide): 4-6 references in Vancouver format.
  7. Ensure that the identity of the study participants/patients is not revealed either in text or pictures.
  8. Acknowledge any copyrighted material/text/photo taken from any other source and included in the PPT with proper reference.
  9. Decision of judges will be final.

Guidelines for Preparing E-posters for Display in the Conference

Last date for uploading e-posters: 7th December 2024

  1. Conference registration is mandatory.
  2. Also carry your e-poster in a pen drive to the conference.
  3. Headings in the template may be altered to suit your e-poster content in case of case reports or case series.
  4. Kindly endorse the following in the e-poster:
    a) Category of presentation – Student / Consultant
    b) Type of submission: Original research/case series/case report
    c) Name, designation, and affiliation of presenter (author)
    d) Title of poster
    e) List of authors (maximum 3)
  5. The e-poster must be saved and uploaded in JPG/JPEG format only.
  6. In original research submissions, the e-poster should contain an introduction, method, results, conclusion, and references. In case series/case report submissions, it should contain an introduction, findings, discussion, conclusion, and references.
  7. Ensure that the identity of the study participants/patients is not revealed either in text or pictures.
  8. Acknowledge any copyrighted material/text/photo taken from any other source and included in the e-poster with proper reference.
  9. Decision of judges will be final.
  10. The e-posters will be displayed serially in a loop on monitors at prominent locations in the conference venue.
